About the Role:
We are looking for a proactive and well-organized Data Project & Delivery Specialist to coordinate and drive the execution of data initiatives across our organization.
In this role, you will work closely with Data Engineering, Analytics, Product, and Business teams to turn project requirements and priorities into actionable plans, track progress, manage dependencies, and ensure timely and transparent delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Delivery
- Coordinate data projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring alignment on scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, and expected outcomes.
- Break down project requirements into actionable tasks, establish clear ownership, and maintain realistic delivery plans.
- Monitor progress across multiple projects or workstreams and follow up on commitments to keep delivery on track.
- Maintain an up-to-date Kanban-style task tracking system to provide clear visibility into priorities, progress, and outstanding work.
2. Cross-functional Coordination
- Collaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics, Product, and Business teams to align priorities, clarify requirements, and coordinate deliverables.
- Identify dependencies, conflicting priorities, and gaps in ownership, and facilitate resolution with the relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure project expectations, responsibilities, and next steps are clearly communicated and understood across teams.
3. Risk & Stakeholder Management
- Proactively identify blockers, delivery risks, and potential timeline deviations, and coordinate actions to address them.
- Provide regular, concise updates on project progress, risks, dependencies, and delivery timelines.
- Escalate issues when necessary, supported by clear context and practical recommendations.
Help stakeholders make informed decisions by maintaining reliable and transparent project information.
4. Process Improvement
Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in project execution and recommend practical improvements.
Introduce lightweight processes and working practices that improve delivery predictability without creating unnecessary overhead.
Facilitate post-delivery reviews, document lessons learned, and follow up on improvement actions.
5. Ownership of Outcomes & Delivery Quality
- Take ownership of delivery outcomes by ensuring that agreed deliverables meet defined requirements, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations.
- Monitor delivery quality throughout the project lifecycle, identify gaps or inconsistencies, and coordinate corrective actions before final delivery.
6. Balancing Speed & Quality
- Balance delivery speed with quality by helping teams prioritize effectively, make informed trade-offs, and avoid unnecessary delays without compromising essential quality standards.
- Identify opportunities to accelerate delivery through improved workflows and clearer prioritization while maintaining the reliability and usability of deliverables.
