Job Description / Tasks
• Preparing page layouts by adjusting the size, orientation, and position of images or text on each page to ensure that it meets design specifications
• Creating color separations, registration marks, and other elements needed to create printing plates
• Making sure that all files are compatible with the printer’s system or software program being used
• Preparing trial reports
• Maintaining an updated schedule of jobs for local projects
• Photoshop
• Adobe Illustrator
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Highly organized
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong attention to details
• Sense of Urgency
• Flexibility to take on additional or varying responsibilities as needed
• Proactively learning new software and advances knowledge and skills of printing processes
• No certificate or degree is needed, although having an educational background in graphic is a plus
• Prior experience in pre-press in digital printing or commercial printing environment is a plus
• Familiarity with printing processes is a plus
